2022 House Election - Indiana
Other RacetotheWH Forecast & Interactives
In eight of the nine Congressional districts in Indiana, one of the parties has the decisive edge. The lone exception is the Indiana 1st, where Congressman Franke Mrvan is running for re-election. Mrvan won his 2020 election by 16%, but he could be in trouble as Republicans have gained considerable ground in the district over the last 8 years. The GOP nominated a strong candidate in Air Force Veteran Jennifer Ruth-Green, who has already raised more than Mrvan despite being a challenger. That’s a strong contrast from 2020 when Mrvan’s opponent raised so little money that he didn’t even report his fundraising to the FEC.
RacetotheWH launched in the 2020 election cycle, and our forecast was one of the nation's most accurate. It called over 93% of races right and outperformed almost all its top competitors at predicting the final margin in close Senate races. We’re projecting the result for all 34 Senate Races up in 2022.
