New Hampshire adopted one of the fairer maps in the country, and now - fitting with the state’s political history - both house districts are highly competitive. Chris Papas (D) is running for re-election in South East New Hampshire in the NH-1st, which leans just 0.3% towards Democrats. He’s facing facing Republican Karoline Leavitt. In the NH-2nd, Congresswomen Ann McLane Kuster (D) is in a stronger position to win re-election than Papas, because the district leans 3% towards Democrats. She faces Republican Robert Burns.

RacetotheWH launched in the 2020 election cycle, and our forecast was one of the nation's most accurate. It called over 93% of races right and outperformed almost all its top competitors at predicting the final margin in close Senate races. We’re projecting the result for all 34 Senate Races up in 2022.
