With no chance of Roy Moore making his way back onto the Senate ballot, Republicans are very well positioned to hold on to the open Senate seat in Alabama. Katie Britt vanquished Mo Brooks and Mike Durant, mounting a slow but ever-steady come-from-behind victory. Shortly after she took the lead over Brooks in polling, Donald Trump removed his endorsement from Brooks, which he eventually gave to Britt in the closing weeks of the campaign. She will now face Pastor Will Boyd (D) in the November general election.
