In 2022, Democrats in Washington will look to maintain their advantage in the hard won Washington 8th, which Congresswoman Kim Schier successfully flipped in 2018. Last year, Schier won re-election by 3.5%, which is why the GOP has made the seat a top target. The district leans about 2% towards Democrats. Most of the other seats are safe, although Democrats have a vert slim chance at being competitive in the Washington third after Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler lost her primary. That’s a seat that’s likely to only be seriously contested during a blue wave election.
